Love and truth in plainness manifested, a collection of the several writings of Luke Howard Luke Howard A Tejiimony concerning our dear deceased Friend and Brother Luke Howard* THE Power and Wisdom of God was largely manifested in the Primitive Times, in making Esher. run, aud Men of small External acquirements, Able Ministers of the Gospel of Peace, which greatly tended to confound theH DEGREESoOTofthis World, and to bring to nought the understanding of the Prudent, that no Befit might glory in his Presence; and this became observable, so that when even some of their Adversaries perceived the Wisdom and Power that was with the Apostles, and understood that some of them were unlearned Men, they concluded, they had been with Jesus, ( as in the Cisc of Peter and John, AEls 4., v. 13.)
