Dandi Daley Mackall is an author of books for both children and adults and has published more than 400 titles. She has written works for young adults, such as "Eva Underground" and "Love Rules," as well as board books, horse fiction, holiday books, and religious titles. Mackall won her first writing contest at age 10 for an essay on why she wished to be a batboy for the Kansas City A's. She has worked as a freelance editor and hosted radio programs, in addition to appearing on television, conducting writing workshops, and speaking at conferences and assemblies. Mackall has written articles for a variety of popular magazines, including Today's Woman, Western Horseman, Cowboy Hall of Fame,… Family Circle, Parenting, and Guidepost. She lives in Ohio with her husband Joe, three children, and horses, dogs, and cats.
